Your account and organization
Your account decides which organization's work you see and what you are allowed to do with it. This page covers setting it up, getting it approved, and managing the colleagues who share it.
Where to start Everything on this page lives under Account in the sidebar, on the Account Settings screen. Its tabs include My profile, Notifications, Workspace, Password, and MFA & security. Organization accounts also get an Organization tab.
Register
Select Sign up on the login page and choose the account type first — it decides what else you are asked for.
| Choose | When |
|---|---|
| Individual | You are requesting services for yourself, and nobody else needs access. |
| Organization | The account represents a company, and colleagues may need to see or act on the same work. |
- Choose Individual or Organization, then give your full name, contact phone number, email, and a password. A contact phone number is required for every account, so QIAS can reach you about a job.
- For an organization, also give the Organization Name and Company Phone Number. The VAT Number and CR Number are optional here. You can add the VAT and CR numbers later, and should before your first invoice so they appear correctly.
- Select Sign Up. QIAS LIMS sends a verification email. Verify it before your first sign-in.
If your organization already has a QIAS LIMS account, do not register a second one. Ask an owner to invite you instead, so your work lands in the right place.
Wait for approval
A new client account is reviewed by QIAS before it can be used for real work.
What you can do while you wait The dashboard shows Approval in progress, and Projects and Jobs are not yet in the sidebar. Your profile, password, and security settings all work — use the time to complete your details. When an administrator activates the account, the dashboard changes to Access ready and the operational pages appear.
Keep your details current
Open Account → My profile to update your name and phone number. These are the contact details QIAS uses when there is a question about a job, so keep the phone number accurate.
Open Account → Notifications to choose how you are told about quotations, invoices, payment confirmations, and released results. If you are missing alerts, check here first.
Your company details
Organization accounts have an Organization tab showing the company identity — company phone number, VAT number, and CR number. Owners, and members granted organization-identity permission, can edit it. Everyone else can read it.
These values appear on your commercial documents, so correct them before your first invoice rather than after.
Individual accounts have no organization tab; there is no company identity to hold.
Colleagues and multiple accounts
Owners of an organization account get a Team page for inviting colleagues and setting what each of them can do.
Roles matter for the commercial steps in particular: accepting or declining a quotation, and uploading payment proof, are available to owners, managers, and members. If a colleague can open a job but cannot act on the quotation, their role is the first thing to check.
If you belong to more than one client account, an account switcher appears above your name in the sidebar.
Switching accounts changes everything you see Projects, jobs, documents, and released results all belong to one client account. Before creating or submitting work, confirm the switcher shows the organization you intend. Work created in the wrong account has to be recreated in the right one.
Security
Open Account → Password to change your password, and MFA & security to add multi-factor authentication, review recovery codes, and manage trusted devices.
Multi-factor authentication is worth turning on even where it is not required of you: your account can reach commercial documents and released results. Store the recovery codes somewhere you can reach without your phone.
For the setup steps, and what to do when a code is refused, see Security and settings.
If you cannot get into your account
- Forgotten password. Use Forgot your password? on the login page and follow the email.
- No verification email. Check your spam folder, then confirm you registered the address you are checking.
- Account disabled, or the registered email no longer exists. Neither can be fixed from the login page. Contact QIAS.
- You signed in but the pages look wrong. You may be in the wrong workspace or client account. Check the switchers at the bottom of the sidebar.
